From Vision to Visual Identity

To that end, we developed the logo and corporate design. We wanted to speak directly to the target audience: youthful and bold, without coming across as childish. Bold block letters, soft shapes, a distinctive marker-style look, and a variety of icons create a lighthearted, relatable tone. At the same time, the design aligns with the DKJS corporate identity.

To ensure that the visual identity could be used directly in everyday school life, we also developed templates for Word and PowerPoint, as well as Sharepics in Canva. This allowed teachers and students to easily use and build upon the design themselves.

The workbook is a journey of discovery

We also designed the main workbook for the participating students. Instead of a traditional schoolworkbook, we created a kind of journey of discovery. It is open-ended, playful, and offers no predetermined path to a solution.

The neon highlighter look, borrowed from the corporate design, runs throughout the entire workbook. Plenty of space for students’ own thoughts, creative answers, and associations makes the participatory process a tangible experience. Students should not simply work through the assignments here, but rather develop and shape their own ideas.

We Make Progress Visible

To establish a digital presence, we designed the “Your Vision Schule NRW” website and implemented it using our CMS, ww.edit—from the wireframes to the final design.

Throughout the project, the website provided information about the program, documented its progress, and displayed an interactive map showing which schools were already participating. We clearly organized workshops and other offerings into categories. This made it clear how individual ideas develop into concrete projects: Participating schools received funding to implement their ideas, while the DKJS organized action days under the motto “School as a Place to Live” directly in the schools.
