Usage Analysis

This website uses the open source web analytics service Matomo. Matomo enables us to evaluate user movements on our websites in a privacy-friendly manner for the purpose of improving our services. Matomo does not set cookies on the user's computer for this purpose. The analysis is carried out using pseudonymised IP addresses in combination with a server-side parameter. Due to these requirements, visits and individual page views on our pages can be recorded, but it is not possible to draw conclusions about the identity of individual users. Personal data is not collected.

For this website, the collection of your page visits can be prevented by using the following opt-out option. Please note that when you activate this option, a technically necessary cookie is stored on your system which prevents Matomo from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. The opt-out must then be reactivated when you visit our site again.

Note on data transfer to the USA

Here and there we integrate services ("tools") on our website from companies based in the USA or from companies based in the EU that use server infrastructure form companies based in the USA, for exaple a video player tool from YouTube or a data visualisation tool from Datawrapper. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the USA. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country in the sense of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as a data subject being informed or being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data for surveillance purposes if they are located on servers in the USA or from companies based in the USA. This may, for example, result in you being refused entry to the USA. We have no influence on these processing activities. If you do not wish your data to be transferred to the USA, do not confirm the consent button at the bottom of the page. You may still use the website with the exception of the tools mentioned above.

Informations that were encrypted with SSL may not be read by third parties on the way.
