Humanist Association Berlin-Brandenburg A relaunch for humanistic diversity - with AI, career portal and map applications.

Thinking and shaping our world humanely - the Humanist Association Berlin-Brandenburg represents the interests and rights of non-religious people in state and society. wegewerk was responsible for the relaunch of its website.

The Humanist Association Berlin-Brandenburg (HVB-BB for short) stands for a secular-humanist world view and offers a wide range of social, cultural and educational programmes. For its digital presence, the association wanted a modern and user-friendly website that clearly presents its wide range of services and strengthens the association's profile.
Based on the existing corporate design, we developed a website that picks up on the association's design line and reinterprets it for the digital space. The result is a customised web design with clear visual anchor points: A prominently placed stage, rounded buttons and a characteristic, proprietary pattern give the site an inviting appearance.
The website is not only functional, but also internationally accessible: a separate English language version with its own page structure is aimed at non-German-speaking users and provides central content in an accessible way.
An AI-supported chatbot helps with the search
One highlight is the AI-supported chatbot. It helps visitors navigate through the website, answers frequently asked questions and facilitates access to information. The chatbot recognises what users need, suggests suitable content or puts them in touch with the right contact person if required.
It has been trained with content from the editorial areas of the website as well as frequently asked user questions and draws on a stored knowledge model. Technically, it is based on a large language model that is regularly updated and fine-tuned.

Careers portal and map application - cleverly integrated

The job platform was seamlessly integrated into the website via a specially developed TYPO3 plug-in so that job vacancies can be displayed and maintained directly on the site - without media discontinuity and with standardised user guidance.

The association represents numerous facilities in Berlin and Brandenburg - from daycare centres and family centres to youth leisure facilities, hospices and advice centres. To make it easier for users to find their way around, we have developed an interactive location map that clearly displays all the facilities with addresses and contact details.
