Verband der privaten Krankenversicherung (PKV) Shaping healthcare with TYPO3 14
Just 1.5 weeks after the release of the new LTS version, we migrated the website gesundheit-gestalten.de from Drupal to TYPO3 14. This makes the PKV platform one of the first projects to run on the brand-new version. A wise decision on the client’s part, as there is no better way to make the most of the support period before an update becomes necessary.
Design and front-end: waveforms and flexibility.
We have completely migrated the existing website from Drupal to TYPO3. Editors can now design the site not only in terms of content but also visually: scroll effects, dynamic image transitions and various colour schemes can be customised individually when creating content in the backend. Animations further enhance the visual appeal.
Work environment: Efficiency for editorial teams.
A key feature of the website is the workspace for various independent editorial teams. The website brings together the services offered by various partner organisations, such as Schwulenberatung Berlin, the Federal Institute for Public Health, the FINDER Academy, the PKV Association and g2 Organisationsentwicklung. External editors can easily make changes to the partner and associated service pages and submit these as approval requests to the editorial team.
The workspace interfaces with a Jira ticketing system, which provides clear structures for approvals and views, optimises the workflow and facilitates collaboration.

By using TYPO3 14, we are building on a future-proof, high-performance foundation that not only impresses from a technical standpoint but also offers maximum flexibility for editorial teams. The migration and redesign demonstrate how we are transferring existing content into a modern, user-friendly system – without compromising on design or functionality.
