The Federal Bar Association (BRAK) is the umbrella organisation of the 28 regional bar associations and represents the interests of the legal profession at federal level, in Europe and internationally.

Between 2021 and 2022, the website of the Federal Bar Association (BRAK) was fundamentally revised in terms of content, design and technology.

New structure with targeted user guidance.

Through its work as the advocate of Germany's advocacy community, the Federal Bar Association is not only relevant to an extremely broad audience - lawyers and consumers, journalists and legal policy-makers - but its publications and content lose none of their importance even after decades.

For the new website, we have therefore developed a completely new structure with targeted user guidance that guides visitors through content from almost 20 years of BRAK history. Content that, despite being transferred to the new structure, did not lose any points in SEO due to well-designed redirecting.

Slim design and practical features.

Users can now find BRAK's complex content in a new, straightforward design that is visually powerful even with just a few photos and makes figures, data and facts clear and easy to find in interactive diagrams, extremely flexible keywording and a powerful Solr search.

In addition, the new website has a number of quality-of-life features: an order page for publications and a new job exchange where ads can be posted quickly and independently make life easier for female lawyers and their law firms.

Highest standards of data protection and accessibility.

Thanks to a barrier-free captcha, the website always guarantees low-threshold access. And with DSGVO-compliant integrated figures and statistics as well as a cookie banner in accordance with the current TTDSG, the new website has a data protection concept that is absolutely watertight.
