Malnutrition is an underestimated health risk. According to the German Society for Nutritional Medicine (DGEM), around 20 to 30 percent of all hospital patients in Germany are affected by malnutrition. The consequences range from mood swings to circulatory problems and loss of muscle strength. The DGEM is drawing attention to this underestimated and serious issue through a week of action, among other things.

A website that appeals to experts and patients

In order to raise awareness of Malnutrition Awareness Week, the DGEM commissioned us to redesign its website. The goal: an optimised website that focuses on the topic of malnutrition, explains the issue clearly and comprehensively, and provides general information and assistance. The website is intended to appeal to experts as well as patients and interested parties.

More reach, more impact

As part of this process, we transferred the existing site to the WordPress content management system. We created a download area for information materials and press releases, enabled the integration of a YouTube livestream and implemented basic SEO measures to improve the findability of the site.

Of course, a registration form for the campaign week and an order form for the accompanying media packages were also included.

With the new website, the DGEM can now promote its campaign against malnutrition even more effectively.
