With our TYPO3 extension, which is currently still in development, you will soon be able to generate content in easy-to-read language—accurate, compliant, and supported by our particularly sustainable AI (Zak_ai). Whether for government agencies, educational institutions, or inclusive web projects, your texts will not only be easier to understand, but also visually appealing!

How does it work?

  • AI-generated versions in easy language: The extension analyzes the content of an existing page and reformats it according to the official rules of easy language—clear, structured, and understandable.
  • Easy to use: Creation takes place at the touch of a button, directly in the TYPO3 backend—no prior technical knowledge or knowledge of easy language requirements is necessary.
  • Modifiable: The extension uses modified standard content objects for translation, which ensure WCAG requirements regarding font size, line spacing, and line breaks are met. The AI-generated results can be customized by you after creation
  • Automatic diagrams: The AI creates appropriate graphics for each paragraph (e.g., illustrations of interactions, diagrams, or symbolic images) to help readers understand the text more quickly.
  • Design-compliant: The AI can be trained to use customer-specific illustration styles so that the illustrations generated match your corporate identity.

What makes it special?

“Easy language”, not just simple language:
Many AI assistants offer to convert text into “simple language.” Here, too, technical terms are avoided or paraphrased, and sentence structures are simplified. In contrast to “plain language,” “easy language” is clearly defined by guidelines G86, G103 and G153 of requirement 3.1.5. for the AAA level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 within the framework of standard EN 301 549, and these requirements go much further. We want to make it easier to meet these requirements and thus offer legal certainty in this regard.

Who needs that?

Easy language is an important requirement of the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), which serves as the basis for the European Accessibility Act (EAA). The EAA was implemented in Germany by the Barrier-Free Accessibility Act (BFSG), which has been in force since June 2025 and applies not only to public authorities but also to many companies and organizations—especially for products and services intended for the general public. Not all content has to be offered in plain language, but at least the following content must be accessible: the presentation of the organization, the most important statements on the website, information on the main sections, and content that is particularly relevant for people with learning difficulties (e.g., forms, instructions, legal notices). We believe that it is worthwhile to go beyond the minimum and offer additional content in easy-to-read language in order to improve comprehensibility for all users. AI-supported tools can help reduce the effort involved and enable more people to access information. This is what we want to achieve with this extension.
