The Pro-Rail Alliance , a broad alliance to strengthen rail transport, has brought together environmental groups, sustainable-oriented auto-mobile clubs, rail unions and passenger safety advocates. In 2008, the Pro-Rail Alliance joined with Friends of the Earth Europe, the European Transport Workers Federation and automobile clubs across Europe to start the "No Mega Trucks" campaign to keep dangerous multi-trailer vehicles over 25 meters long off European highways .

A victory was needed not just in Germany, but at the European level. A platform of communication and coordination between supporters in different countries (with different native languages!) was needed.

Wegewerk developed the multi-lingual campaign website, created the campaign logo and developed the themes. The core of the online platform is a supporter database that stores its information as language-neutral parameters, so that the data can be output in different languages and systematically searched.

Reading instead of looking for food, arithmetic instead of begging: "Change the Curriculum!" Is the slogan of the campaign by SOS Children's Villages worldwide. To convey how hard the daily lives of many children are, we developed a typical schedule for a child enrolled in "the school of survival". The pupils must beg or labor long hours to survive.  Clearly there is a stark contrast between a child getting a good education and needing to fight for survival.  We asked donors to be that difference.

The broad-based integrated campaign included animated ads on the status screens in Deutsche Bahn train stations and trains, plus with billboards and posters. The campaign themes are spread through online banner ads, email newsletters, postal mailings and distributed on city cards in German cities.

The technological heart of the campaign is the website www.sos-bildung.de. Here, everyone can get active. A playful, interactive donation experience encourages people to fill a backpack with their generosity.  A counter played up competition between supporters on different social networks. Users can log in by sending an SMS to a shortcode advertised on billboards around the country.
